Whittier Mill

Whittier Mill

Whittier Mill is a historic village community quietly tucked away in Northwest Atlanta on the Chattahoochee River. It is one of the oldest and most affordable village communities in Atlanta, and its convenient location inside the perimeter makes it a smart choice for home buyers looking for peace and tranquility right in the city. The neighborhood originated in 1895 as a textile mill and adjacent village of homes for employees of the mill. It was designated a historic district in 2001 by the City of Atlanta and is on the National Registrar of Historic Places. Most of the mill homes remain in tact and remnants of the mill itself remain in the now dedicated Whittier Mill Park.
